The Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “Misk” concludes its participation in the World Economic Forum “Davos”

The Mohammed bin Salman “Misk” Foundation completed its participation in the World Economic Forum “Davos”, which kicked off last Sunday, May 22, 2022, under the title “History stands at a turning point: government policies and business strategies” in Switzerland, where more than 2,500 experts gathered. And officials from around the world to discuss the world’s most prominent files economically, socially, and politically.

The participation of the “Misk” Foundation came with a special pavilion that hosted activities coinciding with the activities of the Global Forum, where the Foundation addressed the issue of addressing future challenges around the world in its “Youth Council” pavilion, by employing technology to hold a digital exhibition, and holding 10 sessions that delved into files related to the most important issues. The Future and the Youth, during which the voice of the Saudi youth reached the various experts in the world.

The opening of the council’s work was attended by a number of ministers and officials from the government and private sectors, led by His Excellency the Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf, His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan, His Excellency the Minister of Planning and Economy Mr. Faisal Al-Ibrahim, and His Excellency the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Al-Sawaha. And His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Mr. Muhammad Al-Jadaan, and His Excellency the Minister of Investment, Eng. Khaled Al-Faleh, and the CEO of the Royal Commission for Al-Ula Governorate, Eng. Amr Al-Madani, and Her Highness Princess Haifa bint Muhammad, Assistant Minister of Tourism.
The activities of the “Youth Council” also included various sessions with the participation of a group of government officials, where His Excellency the Minister of Economy and Planning, Mr. Faisal Al-Ibrahim, participated in an open dialogue to discuss sustainable solutions to global economic challenges, while His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Mr. Muhammad Al-Jadaan, spoke in another dialogue about the methods and solutions necessary to keep pace with financial challenges.

While the other dialogue sessions of the Council represented a platform for dialogue and exchange of experiences within the discussion of the most prominent challenges of the future between global experiences and Saudi youth and their peers from around the world, they touched on topics: the concept of global youth, the social economy, climate concern, the dangers of Internet space, and supporting youth in obtaining the first Fit Job, Future Career Paths, New Youth Ethics Measure, Ushering in an Era of High Cost of Living, and Helping Youth Thrive in the Hybrid Workplace.
And as part of the work of the “Youth Council” pavilion, the official launch of the Global Youth Index 2022 was announced, which collected the opinions of 31,000 young men and women who answered its survey, and was built on the basis of a review of 3,690 sources of information, to measure the level of youth development in thirty countries that include members of the G20 countries, along with 10 other countries. They all account for more than 70% of the world’s population, and 80% of the world’s GDP.

Thus, the Mohammed bin Salman “Misk” Foundation concluded its fourth participation in the World Economic Forum “Davos”, which reflects the principle adopted by “Misk” in its belief that its institutional presence will support the promotion of efforts towards a knowledge-based society. In pursuit of achievement and added value to the Saudi society.
